Camilla Pay was born in 1979 and began playing the harp at the age of eight.
She was a music scholar at the King’s School, Canterbury and was awarded an
entrance scholarship to the Royal Academy of Music, where she graduated with
honours, on a Bachelor of music degree. There, she studied with acclaimed
harpists, Skaila Kanga and Daphne Boden.
Presently, Camilla is enjoying a varied career as a
freelance harpist; working with orchestras, chamber groups and solo. She has
played principal harp in the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and has performed
various concertos, including Mozart’s Harp and Flute Concerto in Canterbury
Cathedral. She has given many solo recitals throughout Europe, including the
World Harp Congress held in Prague and a performance at the European Harp
Symposium in Amsterdam. She has been a performer on all three Fred Olsen

show. She was also a featured artist in a TV series, ‘Music in Mansions’.
During 2003, she played live on BBC Radio London, in the Edinburgh fringe
festival and accompanied soprano Hayley Westenra for a television show. She
also recorded album tracks for Incognito and Morrissey.
Vastly experienced in the field of background music,
Camilla enjoys showing the versatility of the harp with her wide repertoire,
ranging from classical, through jazz, to pop. She has done functions for
many top class hotels including, Claridges, The Landmark, The Dorchester and
The Mandarin Oriental. During the past five years, she has also held long
term residencies at the Grosvenor House Hotel and Park Lane Hilton, and

Camilla is part of the Korros Ensemble, a unique and
beautiful combination of flute, (Eliza Marshall) clarinet, (Nicholas Ellis)
and harp. They have a busy recital schedule, which has included St.
Martin-in-the-fields and Killaloe Cathedral in Ireland. Last year they
embarked on a nation-wide project of educational workshops and concerts for children. More recently Channel 4 filmed Korros in concert for a TV
series, to be aired later this year. Camilla and Eliza also play together as
The Arion Duo, a successful and popular flute and harp duo.
